To start, I'll rant about novelty Pokemon. Some of my favorite Pokemon are so-called "novelty Pokemon" and I think that it doesn't mater what Pokemon you use, it's how you use them.

So a Dunsparce or Quilfish could be useful if one uses them correctly or unexpectedly.
