The storm is coming.
Nice.
I now worry about Pokemon's future as BW2 is receiving less scores than the original BW1 despite being the first of its kind. Does this mean that third versions will always be the prefered installment and forever discourage GF from breaking traditions?
@Ghetsis-Dennis; Didn't B/W2 get a Famitsu score of 36? Four marks from a perfect score is nothing to worry about, especially as the points were probably deducted because B/W2 aren't a completely fresh adventure. If anything I'd be optimistic about Pokémon and its future.
@PkmnGreen; But BW2 is suppose to be a revolution to the franchise in years, and it has all the third version/remake exclusive features, so it deserves better scores.

Reviews don't matter for Pokemon.
^ Says the guy who doesn't want to buy Lolllipop Chainsaw because of its lackluster reviews.
I don't see your logic.
The logic is screaming right in front of you.
No... no it really isn't.
- First official sequels of a current gen - Conitnuation of the story where the first game left off - Move Tutors are back - World Tournament as the new Battle Frontier - Enhanced upgrades of Black City and White Forest - Medal list - The ability to encounter shinies easier as a reward for collecting all 649 Pokemon - Memory Links - An improved Random Matchups - New Gym Leaders, inlcuding the first Poison gym leader in 15 years - Join Avenue - Pokewood - 300 Pokemon on the regional dex Tell me why that doesn't derserve higher scores than BW1?
-Still on the Nintendo DS -Not a completely fresh story Seriously, you're blowing this way out of proportion. The games got a really good score, so what are you so bothered about? The only reasons I'd assume the games didn't do so well compared to B/W is the reasons I stated above. Most 3rd version games get a much lower score than B/W2 did, so don't worry about Pokémon or its future, it's fine. The fact that B/W2 included so many new things to B/W2 proves that you have nothing to worry about. Also, Janine is a Poison gym leader.

And the plot is pretty important when it comes to reviews.
@Mijzelffan; The plot for Super Mario Galaxy 2 was lackluster compared to the first, yet it still got high scores from critics.
@Ghetsis-Dennis; Did you not watch the video in this blog? IGN gave it a really good review. I'd think if the games got a really bad review, then that might be something that could stop a few people buying the games. But they didn't.
@PkmnGreen; Yes, and while I'm amazed of IGN's score to the game, I still worry about how Gamespot and Game Trailers will review the game, especially Game Trailers, who has a rep for nitpicking every single detail in a game they review. Doesn't help the fact that they give annual CoD games higher scores than Pokemon.
Still worth mentioning. Seriously, BW2's sales will not be affected by reviews.
According to a research study mentioned by TV Tropes, reviews do affect sales.
@Ghetsis-Dennis; Gimme the damn link. And look at Black and White. Gamespot gave it a 7.5 (Seriously, why? It's like Twilight Princess v2), and look how well it sold. Pokémon doesn't give a fuck for reviews.
All reviews are good for are drumming up Fan Wank and Internet Backlash. The games will still sell.
