Another gymnastics post which no one reads, but still...
So night two for the women is over at US nationals. Rebecca Bross came into the meet with some ankle troubles and really struggled. Tonight she fell on her vault and probably injured herself. She was yelling out in pain. I hate when things like this happen and gymansts' pain (including emotional pain) is broadcast. This is extra-bad since she's been battling injuries throughout her career. We'll see what happened, but it looks like she injured her knee-cap.
During the last rotation, Chellsie Memmel (2008 Olympian) tried an uneven bars routine, couldn't get to a handstand at first and fell, tried again and just ended her routine. She put ice on her shoulder, and area where she's had past issues. I really hope this doesn't mess up her comeback.
Now on to the happy part. Jordyn Wieber, you've come a long way since 2009. Don't screw yourself up this year or next year.
Katelyn Ohashi, why can't you be eligible to compete at the 2012 Olympics? Couldn't you have chosen to be born in an earlier year? Also, work on your interview skills. That's what will really help you become famous in 2016.
