The housing selection process for rising sophomores is a very stressful week. I'm going through random selection for a couple of reasons, which probably means that I will be put in the undesired housing (the undesired housing is the reason why selection is so stressful). Oh well.

So they apparently did not need the money since they gave it back to me. My attempt at whittling down my dining fund failed.

Student service trips at my college are self-funded, so the way they get money is to go into dining halls and ask people to donate money from their dining accounts. My school charges for individual food items, rather than for meals, so dining plans work like debit accounts.
