Their gymnastics coverage is laughable. Actually, their prime time coverage in general is laughable. The fact that they're actually making money off of this is so terrible.
What did you expect?
Primetime coverage is awful to watch especially with Ryan Seacrest's money hungry face doing interviews. Also they fail at pronouncing names like Kohei.
Also the fact they only focus on the same freaking sports every night and cut out the important. Only showing us what they think we want to see like Michael Phelps. I'm honestly tired of swimming and gymnastics. Show some other events and fully and not 40 commercials and unnecessary editing and stories .The lack of sports shown is kind of boring there's no variety. It pisses me off that they only showed part of the women's beach volleyball tonight and not the full game. If that makes you hate them, this might make you hate them more. Plus the commutators always say such stupid things sometimes. I honestly hate Bob Costas and want him to shut up. They should just loose their coverage rights.
If there's a way for you to watch BBC coverage, do it, and I'm not beng biased. xP No commercial breaks and they show all sports and all countries, rather than just focusing on one country or competitor.
Don't they offer live streams or something? (or maybe someone else does?) The Dutch channel that airs the olympics focuses mainly on the stuff with Dutch athletes, but they do offer everything else through live streams on their site (and make clear that they do so a lot on tv) so that if you want to watch something else you can easily do it like that.
@TheShuckpluff It's definitely worse than it was in 2004, and there was a tape delay there. @Champion Kouzan I already knew about them skipping Afan's fx. That's just one of their failings in gymnastics coverage. @Mijzelffan They offer them, and they still managed to piss people off with how they work.
As I showed @Aestivate; on skype yesterday, look up the hashtag #nbcfail on twitter. It's depressingly bad, but you'll be laughing the whole time. And even better there's so many tweets coming in you'll never run out of amusement.
I actually sat down and watched the Olympics for the first time yesterday. I saw the women's table tennis final, whitewater kayaking, a women's and men's swimming race, and a men's gymnastics thing. I find it kind of odd how they will show table tennis, a sport where China is dominant and the U.S. has basically no chance at, but things like women's sabre fencing don't get any TV coverage at all even though the U.S. often does very well (last Olympics I think the U.S. swept gold, silver and bronze).

I've looked at it on tumblr, but not on twitter yet. I liked this one: " An NYC restaurant was advertising an "Olympics Special". Obviously your food arrives 9 hours after you order it."
For the record they are only gonna break even on doing this.
