Ok, i'm going to do all the pokemon movies except for Victini and Zechrom as i as it gets the same as Reshiram.
And for those of you who feel that once i comment that they should stop commenting, no. I comment to acknowledge others' comments. so keep on comenting. Anyway, let's get on with the movie reviews (including the pikachu shorts)


Pokemon the First Movie, Mewtwo strikes Back: (1999)
Pikachu short: Pikachu's vacation.
Pikachu and ash's kanto pokemon are planning a day of relaxation along with all the rest of the group's kanto region pokemon, when they come across a Raichu, Marill, Snubble and Cubone in a clique. The groups don't get along at all and compete in a race across the pool. Raichu teases pikachu by zapping togepi. Pikachu goes to Togepi's rescue when Raichu shocks him,. This pisses Pikachu off and two start a fight/chase scene that ends up ruining Meowth, Arbok and Wheezing's relaxation, a hitmonchan/hitmonlee fight and upsets Charizard, who ends up getting his head stuck in a play structure. Pikachu realizes what happened and tries to help Charizard out. The group's pokemon join in and do their level best but can't do it. PIkachu goes to the bully clique and tells them that they need to work together to help charizard out. They all join together except Cubone and they pull on Charizard. Cubone then decides to join in and they free Charizard, which sens everyone flying.meowth hears all of it and decides to throw a bomb at the two groups, but it ends up going wrong. Meowth finally pooped out crashes and that's the end of them for this segment.
Pikachu and the others make up with Raichu's group and they all slide down the slide together. Ash, Misty and Brock call the pokemon back and before leaving, Pikachu shakes hands with Snubble, an things are happy again.

Christian's review for this pikachu short: Funny, entertaining and remarkable. Not just for nestalgic value, but also for just pure entertainment. the fight between Pikachu and Raichu causing all the craziness for Meowth and for the fighting hitmons was funny. I also liked the small musical interludes between each act that had pokemon either dancing or singing in some wierd ways. This was the only movie i saw with my eyes, and i don't remember much of the looks.

Feature: Mewtwo strikes back.
(from here on out i'll summarize only important parts i mention in the review.
I thought that the whole beginning scene was epic. I felt for mewtwo in a way when Giovanni said that they could never be equals. I was like "Well of corse mewtwo's going to not be happy, you promiced that you'd be partners."
Dan green did a good mewtwo voice in this movie as well as his return in the 2003 special of Mewtwo Returns.
The background music, really fitting and emotional, especially Tears of Life. Mew's song just made me think of a little furry kitten meowing and playig around on me and even litteraly made me feel like just cuddling up to my cat which i did. "MEEEEWWWW! HMHMHMHMHMHMH!" The tears legend. I saws the short on the Mewtwo Returns DVD and realized where Amber got it from. The legend that the ferry mannager told came true in the movie, i thought that it was rather beautiful. (not because i am a 4kids fan for pokemon, i didn't know that back then and i am not interested in the japanese version)
The scene where Brother My Brother played. Yes, i'd rather them have played instrumental stuff, but the song was fitting for the scene.
Ash being revived: I don't think that i know anyone that didn't cry when they saw that or heard the song. Hell, i even cried when the same song played in A Poached Ego, because i instantly was transported to the first time I watched the movie, with an IV in my right hand, and my friend Nicky honding my other hand. I was recovering from the operation and Nicky even cried during that movie scene.
Mewtwo's spach at the end: "The human Sacrificed himself, to save the pokemon. I pitted them against each other. But not untill they put aside their differences did i see the power they share deep inside. I see now that the circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant. It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are." Beautiful and made me cry too.
Mewtwo irracing their memmories: The only wrong thing. What's the point of learning that valuable lesson, when you're going to make us forget it? Meowth gives a speach in the 2003 sequel to this movie.
Ash sing mew: Hint to the ho-oh scene in episode 1. It's possible that the ho-oh that Ash saw was mew. I think it was, i don't care if i'm called mental for it.
Out of 50, i give this movie 46. i'll do 2000 soon.
