Let's just get something out of the way first: If you are one of those who watch pokemon for nostalgia but you respect that there are others who like to watch it for more reasons and/or who don't care about the nostalgia then this does not apply to you, the things i say will not be about you. everyone, rate, comment and subscribe please, to show those nostalgic watchers that act like asses to us that watch it for more reasons than memmories that we're not going to take that shit lying down.

(i ain't a just let it be person, and only Kelly Clarkson can make me let it be because she is texan and she is a pokemon fan)
Anyway
ahh 1998, the first season of pokemon. A time i admit i do love, even though i first got into pokemon in 1999, YTV would air repeats of the first season. As i've stated before, i do really like the old episodes, but i know there's more to pokemon then the episodes i watched while recovering from surgeries or after I landed back home. Sadly misty's time is up in the anime for now, but i don't freak out about it. I still watch it and like the new stuff, even though Dawn is kinda dumb and iris calls Ash a "kid" too much. Axew, should i have said that about iris? leave your response in the comments ok axew?
Anyway, i've seen people respond to people like me who still watch it and like the new series in media with comments like this: (note there are swears worse than shit, i'm just quoting) "YOU ARE FAKE FUCKING FANS!"

People, first of all you don't have to use that kinda shit online, (the highest i ever go is shit) not only does that not help your argument, it also passes you off as an ass.
We're not fake fans if we like the new stuff, we just as easily can call you fake fans for having your head stuck in the 90s. granted those episodes are pretty good, but if your going to be an ass about them and if you don't like hearing about people who watch it for mroe than nostalgia and memmories, then stay off the internet, or at least stay off the forums about the Best Wishes series ok? simple solution. You don't have to hurl insults as us on behalf of Veronica Taylor, (i do like her) or Maddie blaustine (RIP) because of these 2 things:
1: Neither of them nor anyone else from pokemon would want you to insult others for them and
2: you're shaming them! do you people who do that realize you're shaming their good names? I love the 4kids dub, but i don't hurl insults at those who don't like it. I would understand given that they have a good reason, i still don't insult them though, because i know that won't make them change their minds.
Also to those who like the new stuff and do the same thing, stop. I don't want to see shit like "You're stuck in the 90s? you shit head! you fake fans! get a life and get into the 21st century" crap, because then you're doing the same thing that the nostalgic asses do, and we don't need that. Let's all just like what we like and for the love of Haxorus's hand, be nise about or it will crush you. (lol) but do be nice about what you like and don't like, then we can all get along.
Rate comment and subscribe everyone, and comment even if you agree. we must stop this whole insult spree, no more of this just let it be stuff. thank you.

I'm sick and tired of Pokemon videos on YouTube being filled with such comments. Sadly, there is no solution to the problem.

Sadly, all we can do is ignore such people. There is a glimmer of hope though. Fans who started with the later series (RS and DP) are getting more and more common on the internet while the people like the ones you quoted in your blog are slowly disappearing or the very least becoming relatively silent.

yeah. Those people i quoted really make those of us who stared off with the Kanto/Orange Islands/Johto sagas look pretty shitting bad, i mean, really. The more they do it the more it shames not only our genoration but the first 3 seasons of Pokemon, and i liek the first 3 seasons and the first 3 movies just as much as the 14th and 15th seasons and the 13th and 14th movies.

I find most of the youtube comments funny. Most of them are like, "Let's start a petition to get Misty back," or, "The Pokemon anime is ruined forever, I want the old Pokemon back!"

The ironic thing is you go to the major pokemon anime forums like this one and the general opinion is the exact opposite. Kanto/Orange/Johto aren't any more favored than the later seasons, and Misty isn't any more favored than May/Dawn/Iris. The opinions are more equal here.

Well that's why i have such faith in this comunity and Serebii where i also have an account. I totally agree that people need to simmer down about the nostalgia thing, because it only angers some and annoys others.
should i do a part 3 rant on how people favor one of ash's companions over the other? (note that i do like misty and brock, they are my favorite next to iris and Cilan and Max and May)

Hi. My name Caseydia. Long time Serebii.net and Bulbagarden vederan. I never even heard about nostalgia until a few years ago. However I never had a problem with people loving Pokemon or older characters. But after DP started, it got worse. It's like even though Pokemon was improving in certain areas, some were barely seeing it. I really could care less about certain characters. For me, it was always about the designs, plots, Pokemon battles and character interactions. With Pokemon, I like that they change up the cast members from time to time. It keeps the show fresh. I like that they introduce new Pokemon and such. I never understood why everyon was so fixated on the past origianl series so much. I get their childhood because it was mines also but I'm an adult now. It's a cartoon made for kids. So I'm not worried about all of that stuff. There are some things in the past I like but I won't target anyone for it. I usually like to talk about what's present on the show rather than the past. Because that will only make me dwell. Hopefully some will gather this wisdom.
