serious rant though

Just saw an article about how they are giving Plan B to girls as young as 15 without prescription. I don't know but the comments... ;p

Here's my thing. I'm not against the idea of having sex, which is what many kids like to tell me that I believe. I'm for the idea of being educated about it so that if kids decide that they want to, they know the risks. I personally am against the idea of 11,12 -15 year olds having sex though. But should they chose, they have to live with the consequences of their actions.

Which is why everytime a teenage girl complains about how complicated it is to have a child [I can't party, go to the mall etc waaaaa], I think to myself "well you should have thought about that when you laid on your back and opened your legs". I don't feel bad for them because it's the same song and dance they play on us.

So what is this idea of the B pills telling teen girls? Well, they can get away with it and never have to live with the consequences. That is what I think.

Wanted to get this off my mind XD

Or, hey, it's telling them that expressing their sexuality and having sex is ok, and it is also ok to not have a baby if you're not ready!

I think you and Jabber are both right, really.
But do these pills prevent against STIs and STDs?

I don't want my tax money to pay for some teenage mom's baby, just because someone thought that they should "live with the consequences of their actions." Less tax money would be wasted if they had access to some good birth control, including Plan B.

Plus, it's a lot safer than a scared pregnant teen trying to give themselves a clothes hanger abortion.

The thing here that bothers me is that you sound like you're just blaming the girls. Girls and boys should both be educated about sex, and if they think they can deal with unprotected sex and want a baby who they will take care of, then that's fine. If they don't want a baby(or the girl doesn't wish to become pregnant), then these pills should be accessible because just wanting sex is okay too! Good birth control is important, since if they didn't want the pregnancy but decide to go without an abortion, then it might cause the person(the woman having the baby) harm.

Either way, I think birth control is important for those who want sex but do not want a baby.

No I'm not blaming just girls. People do seem the think that I hate girls. I don't. I just want people to know that they can't always get away with everything.

I understand, I just see a lot of people who usually only bring up the girls and blame them for getting pregnant when the boys should also take blame for being in part of that. I just think both should be educated, and if girls want sex but don't want kids, then I think it's very important to take pills.

This is a sound policy when applied to law enforcement; less so when applied to peoples' sexual freedom.

I don't see how the girls being able to have some control of their body through Plan B is not okay. It's their body, shouldn't she have the option readily available?

What's the alternative, a poor kid is brought into the world with a mother who doesn't care for it properly.

More teenage girls need to play Pokemon. Then we won't have these problems.

    EDIT: Teenagers in general should.
