America... what to say about it?

I don't know why but everytime people and I get into a discussion about our native countries [Japan for the most part since most people I talk to on twitter are Japanese], I can't find anything interesting about my own native country. Why is that?

I don't know. Maybe I haven't been to the other states and live in FL like.... forever. I don't know, it seems like the United States doesn't have a culture. I cann't find anything awesome to say about the United States :[

And before anyone says "GO TO IRAQ!1!", I don't hate this country, In fact I tell my friends and I am: 純粋なアメリカ人。[pure american person]. But yeah, I don't hate it here. If I were to spend a week in Japan I'd really miss it here.

Well, I'd say it's awesome that we have the rights that we do (freedom of speech for example), and the fact that people come from all over the world to live here. The U.S. might not have a lot compared to other countries in the way of unique culture, but the fact that we have influences from so many other cultures is unique in its own right. :)

I believe that we're the only country that calls Football (Real Football, not American), Soccer, though I guess that's not that noteworthy...

Random questions though, why use かんじ(Kanji (The complicated part that looks more like Chinese than Japanese)) instead of かな(Kana) or Romaji?
And could you translate it into Kana for me?

Thanks for the Romaji and Kana.

And I just call it American Football since I was born in Brasil (Not Brazil, the correct (Calling it the correct spelling since it's the one that's used in the country) spelling is actually Brasil) and Futebol (Footbal) is really big there.

The reason why America doesn't appear to have a culture like Japan's is because America is a mash-up of various different cultures. People tend to lose ties to their ancestral cultures as they and their children live in America. American culture is pretty just made up and ever changing.

That would be the correct spelling in Portuguese. It's spelled differently in English. It's like how nobody writes Toukyou in English.
