It's a show. I want it inside my eyes and ears. But there's so much of it. Where should I start?
There's the new series, and the old series. The old series existed over a million years ago and a few episodes are lost forever. The new series, which began in 2005, is probably the best place to start. You can watch it without getting totally lost, so start from there.
(Funny you should ask. I just started watching the new series from the beginning just this afternoon.)
I agree with Contrary. The new series is what got me into Doctor Who.
Start with NuWho.
Yeah, start with 2005. Enjoy the three new Doctors. Get caught up, and then finish watching this current season as it airs. Once this season is over, you'll have some time until the Christmas special airs, so spend that time watching some of the classic series (that is, if you enjoyed what you saw of the new series enough to want to). If you have Netflix, you can get caught up on past seasons of the new series through it, and then you can also watch a lot of classic episodes through it as well.

Exactly. So, make time to lock yourself in your room for a few days while you watch Dr Who from start to finish nonstop watch one or two episodes every night. Maybe more on the weekends.
Oh, and other thing. If the word "blink" is in the title, don't watch it at 3am in a darkened room with your laptop inches away from your face. Learn from my mistakes!
Start with the 2005 episode called Rose.
Thanks everyone! I will watch it over breakfast on Netflix like I did with Avatar: The Last Airbender. (Side note: NETFLIX Y U NO KORRA!?)
