This is an edition to the original blog post about this.. the original can be found here: http://bmgf.bulbagarden.net/blogs/gryffindor1991/ultimate-pokemon-game-26289/
Anyway, for a run down of the first one: I described at game where you can visit all the regions from Kanto to Unova and be able to get all Pokemon in one game without having to trade. Originally I had it so you follow Ash's journey basically by going Kanto to Johto to Hoenn to Sinnoh to Unova. I've made some changes which I will say here.. I also went into details about the look of the game and everything in the first post.
Now here are the additions:
-You customize your character. You can change anything you want about it, hair, eyes, clothes, height, etc.
-You choose which region you begin in and what order you visit the other regions.
-You can either catch the other starters or be given them. Like you have to do a certain task or something to be given the Pokemon, or for it to appear in a certain location to catch.
-You take one Pokemon with you when you travel between regions.
-There are a few versions of the game.. So where some Pokemon are really rare and difficult to find in one version, its really common to find in the next version.. so that you can still trade. You also have to trade to evolve the Pokemon that evolve that way.
-It would be similar to an mmorpg, you have an option where you can play it that way where you find trainers to battle in the game that are actually playing around the world or you can turn it off and play by battling NPCs.
-Haven't really thought this through much, but have some kind of tournament at the Pokemon League. You have to battle either NPCs or other players until you win, then you battle the Elite Four and Champion of a region.
In addition to the features from the first post here are a few more:
-When placing a Pokemon in the PC, instead of it staying there, you can go to the Professor's lab in the region you started and see all of your Pokemon in a corral behind the professor's lab.. (pointless I know, but I think it would be kind of cool)
-Having the option to have a walking Pokemon like in HGSS
I know with all of this playing through, there would be a problem with levels of Pokemon. That could be remedied a few ways, but I'm not sure how good it would be:
-Have it take longer to reach the next level
-Pass level 100 and add move sets from each generation together to keep Pokemon learning new moves longer
In the last post I even ran through possible locations to find legendary Pokemon.. I'll add any other ideas you have!
