Obviously, this theory fully stands.

This is how Chili, one of the Shadow Triad, "remembers" shit going down two years ago. All they did was build a clever lie to make sure nobody would figure it out.

I have a bit of reasoning to this.

Firstly, it just happens that the Triad decides to stop the three weakest Gym Leaders, despite the fact they should've been strong enough to stop pretty much any 3 of them.

Secondly, they are still in the restaurant/gym whatever, yet there is nobody else in such a popular place. I dunno about you, but every single time I went there, be it night, or hell, a holiday, there are people. But now? Nope.

There's only one explanation to this. The place was closed. So, the Trio wasn't in the restaurant at all. The reason they decided to lie about being confronted by the Shadow Triad there was that nobody important that could falsify this, because they all were in the League, as opposed to, say, looking for Burgh to take part in sparkling contest, because then some of the hipsters in Burgh's whereabout would mention it to Burgh.

So all in all... all this does is further prove the Triplets are indeed the Shadow Triad.
