I just want to take the time to thank the staff for a joke well done. It was actually fun to talk about other fandoms like that, and i saw some interesting discussions form in the time I was able to see them during a busy day. I loved the 1998 throwback last year, too.

How was it possible to switch the current forums over to the fake format? Is it archived anywhere?

Does anybody realize that the euphemisms for fainting and death, PASS AWAY and PASS OUT, sound practically the same? Take a look at these two sentences:

"My father passed out from cancer last week."
"I pass away every time I see blood."

Don't they sound the same?! Talking about someone "passing" has major double meanings (especially if it's drinking related). When I hear about someone passing away, I think "they fainted?", ...

Wow, is it hard to spontaneously think of something to say.

I just finished reading the first volume of Neil Gaiman's The Sandman and noticed a lot of names and concepts mentioned in Pokemon.

Two characters are named Cynthia and Lucien (albeit spelled differently). Cynthia happens to be blonde and wears black.

There's also mention of a dreamworld and one of the titular character's special items is a powerful ruby.

Yup, I joined the forum on the US release day for BW... But I wasn't able to post immediately because the server was down due to a "Team Plasma attack". I actually didn't make my first post for a while.

I really can't believe it's been a year. I'm still really glad I got back into the Pokemon franchise for good after losing most interest from 2001 until 2010.
