Snowbelle City is genuinely one of the nicest-looking cities out there! That and Laverre City. I love the music too!
For once, Wulfric was a Gym Leader who didn't just wait for you in his Gym. I liked tracking him down in the Pokémon Villiage. The scene with the random Pokémon was cute and the music was fantastic.
Victory Road, however, was tough. BW2 spoiled us by putting a Pokémon Center at the entrance, but in XY we had to backtrack to Snowbelle or Santalune.
Olympia's Gym was trippy. I thought I was playing Super Mario Galaxy for a little bit. A normal-sized building had to hold that freaky spherical cosmic course. It was actually so trippy, I decided to chug a nightcap of half a glass of white wine and a bottle of wine cooler. I had to experience it buzzed. I have never done this before for a Pokemon game, or any video game for that matter. I definitely felt more relaxed and entranced by the sights. Then came the battle. Sigilyph has usually been tedious
Finally reached my goal of making a team with one Pokemon from each generation! (after an evolution, that is) Caught a female Piloswine, so once she evolves I'll have that balanced-type team! My team also has 3 males and 3 females, while my Gen V teams were always 4 males/ 2 females.
Speaking of Mamoswine, that riding sequence is very silly. It's just your character sitting on top of a mound burying itself in snow! I think that running into Pokemon while in a giant snow bank is a

Ramos was defeated decently. (a little harder than I expected though) So was Clemont. I actually didn't need to grind too much to beat him.
I have to say, I LOVED Clemont's Gym. Is it too much to say that it rivals Elesa's BW2 Gym in terms of awesome spectacle? I liked the camera angles with the answers, and I wish the quiz portion lasted a little longer. So that's what Bonnie's job is ingame! (I had a dog named Bonnie that died of old age last summer.)
Now that my
Holy moly, is that fun! I could ride around for hours. It's funny that the trainers along that route don't challenge you when you're sitting on that little grass goat.
I was also impressed by the scene with Korrina and her Lucario at the Tower of Mastery. I got there at night, which made it very pretty. So I guess Game Freak fully adopted the thing where you send one of your party members straight to the PC when someone gives you a new Pokemon, a la the BW mascots during that climactic
