I left a Boldore there, asking for another Boldore. Two hours later, I get said Boldore, only to find out the original trainer gave it an Everstone. Son of a Bidoof.

No, not trolled. This happens a lot. Wild Boldore sometimes have Everstones on them, and thus I can see why people may not check items and trade away.
Reminds me of that bitch in Snowpoint City who trades you a Haunter and then tells you its holding an Everstone while LAUGHING! Or giggling.
