I'm really loving the movies. My Emolga and Shiny Gible in particular, are loved by the public. But as I make these movies, I noticed a few things.

  1. The films seem to run on Zen filmmaking; you're given an outline of the story and any resources you need, but generally you choose how the story plays out.
  2. Movies like Red Fog of Terror keep their alternate/foreign names in the background. La Nebbia Rossa is Red Fog's. This makes me think that a lot of these movies are actually remakes of foreign productions.
  3. I really love the Timegate Traveler series and the Red Fog of Terror series. I'm a little surprised on the former, since I don't usually like sci-fi movies. But the evil Ledian is so cute.
  4. There's a director named John Pokenter, a reference to director John Carpenter. Since he directs the Red Fog series, I'm thinking the series is meant to be a reference to The Fog. But I never saw The Fog, so I don't know.
  5. Red Fog of Terror 2 takes place almost immediately after part one. This sort of reminds me of Subspecies, since those movies would always begin where the last one left off. I haven't done part 3 of the series yet, so I don't know if the trend continues.
  6. When a shiny Pokemon gets a star in its entrance animation, and that Pokemon is shiny, the star will replace the sparkles of a shiny Pokemon's entrance.
  7. The giant girlfriend is named Monica, which was the name of my second-ever crush. (My firs crush was Baby Spice, a crush I had that lasted throughout kindergarten.)

So far, I really love PokeStar Studios. I hope it reappears next gen. Hopefully there will be more variation in the movies. A musical or a poorly-translated foreign movie would be nice. Or maybe one of those abstract, foreign art house films that rely on shocking imagery to seem deep in order to get away with poor writing and unpleasant characters. What about historical movies, based on the stories of old games? Or spin-offs? Maybe you can make a TV series that looks similar to the anime we have now.
Owain likes this.

Yeah... and it's a bit hard to finish with Astonish when Ingrain just restores whatever damage it causes with interest.

IDK, I just unlocked the post-E4 scripts so I'll try it again after I finish those up.

I don't find it interesting really. There's so much in Pokemon that doesn't appeal to me. The World Tournament is another thing.
