Well, considering I had nothing else to do while waiting for the Jill and Shuma-Gorath DLC to come out for Marvel vs Capcom 3 at 5AM EST today, I decided I'd finally finish Shakugan No Shana II.

While it WAS, overall, a good anime, it left me extremely disappointed. I'm not going to spoil anything, but let's just say that I'm a big fan of romance anime (yes, this is coming from a guy. I KNOW, WHAT A HOMO AMIRITE?), and, to me, they sacrificed romance for action and ended up just glossing over it. Supposedly there's going to be a third season though, so if they decide to actually go back and fix this fucking atrocious error and actually show what happened, then I will forgive them.

On that note, I'm now unsure of what anime to watch next. I was thinking of Kimi ni Todoke since that's getting good reviews and doesn't seem like it could fuck up the romance in any possible way, but other than that, I ain't got a clue. Any recommendations? :3

    I rarely watch Anime, but I was a really big fan of Serial Experiments Lain. It's really hard to explain without giving anything way, but it's a really good cyberpunk-esque cartoon.
    If you're going to watch it, be warned, it's really slow.
    The only other one that really sticks out for me is Paranoia Agent. It's a psychological thriller revolving around assaults by a boy on roller blades, with a crooked baseball bat as a weapon.

    I'm totally addicted to Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei right now, which is basically just this crazy thing about this suicidal teacher and his equally fucked-up students with social commentary and weird crap. Also pretty much all of his students are in love with him to some degree or other, but it's mostly played for laughs.
