For a test, I was allowed to take one sheet of paper of my notes in to reference. Trying to cram a bunch of small letters was a pain, and I was always ending bullet points just over the line where I would end up starting a new one. I had then recalled some earlier education with Chinese i had taken long sho. It had faded a lot over time from disuse, but I was still familiar with some characters. I started substituting some common English words in with the blocky symbols and eventually found myself saving a ton of line space.

I ended up putting much more information on the same block of space than i would have with just english. Now I really want to learn the rest of the language. Ideograms rock. XD

I usually put Chinese characters in my notes (or any scrap of paper), but whatever I write are usually random stuff that comes out of my head.

Still, it may work to a disadvantage when you're writing a few pages of essay in Chinese, which would longer in English.
