Look, what follows shouldn't surprise anyone. Diglett and Dugtrio aren't exactly known for their artistic qualities. I will, however, use some je ne sais quoi to divinate some form of artistic worth to these two. Let's begin.
Form: 2. It would have been a 1 if not for the grand mystery that is its lower half. Diglett have legs. That's a fact. The notion that such intrigue is generated by such a plain Form is remarkable. However, the other fact is that Diglett has no detail, the simplest of features, and a generally boring exterior.
Color: 3. It only makes sense that it's brown, being a subterranean mole that is out of the sun so much that direct sunlight makes its blood boil. The pink nose seems to be intentionally out-of-place, which barely helps it stand out. The greenish-grey eyes are the most detailed of Diglett's features.
Originality: 2.5. It's clearly based on the Whack-a-Mole game. Except the moles in that game have some detail to them. Also, good luck whacking Diglett: it can pull its head under the ground at the speed of light, according to Pokémon researcher and everyday badass Gary Oak.

Form: 2.5. Hardly an improvement over Diglett. Literally the only difference AT ALL is that there's three and they usually have eyebrows.
Color: 3. Same as Diglett.
Originality: 2.5. It's no better than Diglett's for a reason. Tripling it and slapping on some eyebrows is not being original, it's being lazy. Oh yeah, and does anyone else pronounce its name Dug-tri-o? I used to until I heard the anime pronounce it Dug-tri-o.

Realistically, I shouldn't have even bothered critiquing these two, which makes me wonder how I'm going to evaluate the Unown, which, I estimate (assuming one month between entries) will occur in May 2024. Yeah, I did the math. But still I decided to do Diglett and Dugtrio because I might as well have; it's not like I'll be staring in awe trying to think of poetic adjectives for these two. Probably the best part of this particular entry was sharing the fanart with you all.
