I could go on, but sadly, most of you won't get that reference at all. Most of you probably don't even speak German. Even fewer of you probably speak the Mühlviertlerisch dialect of it (but, hey, if you do, taunz, Oida! Jetzt kummt de Nudlsuppn Gang!). The bottom line is, everything's pretty damn good right now.

I'm all done moving house, and they switched the internet back on just this afternoon, so I'm back online again. ...

Without getting too sentimental, that more or less sums up my online presence right about now. I don't want to go on a rant about my own shortcomings or the inadequacies of others, but sometimes, it's just too hard to be nice, you know?

If I were being nice, then I'd say, rather vaguely, that the root cause of my current state of affairs is that I have nothing to do. Not untrue. Not untrue at all. But I'm not in the mood for putting a politically-correct smile on everything. In truth, ...

...And because I have nothing else to do right now.

Well, as of 10.09AM on Wednesday, I never have to set foot in a school ever again for as long as I live (and I'm defining 'school' as 'a place of education for ages up to and including 16). And I'm glad the exam season is over, because if I ever hear that damned invigilator say 'trans-PAIR-unt' again, I swear I'll kill him with my bare hands...

It was funny at first. Then it became irritating. Now it's infuriating. ...

I don't normally post more than one blog entry per day or two, but I just do not want to let this little piece of genius prose go to waste:

To say things have been going badly lately would be a lie. I mean, I came second- 2nd, out of about twenty shortlisted from a field of several hundred- in my age category in a regional poetry competition and subsequently had my poem published in a daily newspaper along with the people who came 1st and 3rd, as well as the top 3 from the other two age categories. (In case you're wondering which one is mine, since they so kindly didn't publish who placed where in each category, my surname is Craig.) ...
