So I was just chilling on YouTube, and I happened to fall down the back of the site, into the weird bit- YouTube's very own little Twilight Zone. And I found a certain video there that I haven't seen in quite some time. And that gave me the urge to share it with you people.
The first time I saw that, it was randomly shown at about 3AM on Channel 4, and that's never a good time of day to be shown something like this video. I admire how it captures the psychology and logic unique to an unnerving dream, but it still caught me off-guard with its random creepiness.
Now, I could go on and on, psychoanalysing what every aspect of it means, but apparently, all of the 'symbolism' in the video is just a coincidence; the creators (This Is It Collective) were just doing what they do best: videos that make no sense and pander to the madness within.
Maybe that's why there are some weird aspects to this video that blend in seamlessly and seem to be everyday actions that you think you might see anytime, anywhere, despite them being things that would only happen in a dream. Take the clown painting and 'green is not a creative colour' as key examples of that.
I think there's a strange kind of therapy to be had by watching this video every now and again, just to prove to yourself that there are people madder out there than you are. And also to remind you that you should NEVER trust a talking notepad.
