The young boy woke up one morning and decided today was the day(.) He opened up his curtains to revealed a beautiful sunrise. Yawning loudly(,) he heard voices coming from the kitchen.

[¶] "What is going on Mary?" This voice was deep and loud.

[¶] "I don't know Joe(,) they were here a second ago(,)" The next voice said.They were his parents’ voices. The boy assumed his father has lost his keys again(,) but something was strange about his mother’s voice. He pretended not hear the two when he walked into the kitchen, grabbed his backpack and left for school.

[¶] The next day was no different. He awoke as usual, but heard the same arguing voices he listened to the day before.

[¶]"Stop it Mary!" his father yelled.

[¶] "I have done nothing to deserve this!" his mother cried.( )He heard angry footsteps, and then a slammed door. The boy knew that things were not right.

    Comma Usage: B.
    I know I've never been good at English, but really? Two commas shouldn't be used if the clause around the middle isn't independent. You can use two commas if you can take out the middle clause and it will make sense, but this one doesn't. Especially before an and, that just looks wrong. XP
