  1. Shiny Kalos Pokédex Project (Halfway Done!)

I obtained the Shiny Charm in X on February 6th, and about two weeks later I decided to take it upon myself to catch a shiny version of every non-legendary Pokémon native to Kalos. That might sound like a rather hefty goal, but it's just so easy to find shiny Pokémon in Gen VI and I needed a way to challenge myself. Today I obtained Florges, my thirty-third Kalos shiny—meaning that I'm officially halfway done! I've been keeping track of my progress by adding each shiny's name, picture, capture ...

  2. A Theory About Hydreigon

I've always thought it was puzzling how Deino goes from having one sentient head to two sentient heads to one sentient head and two non-functioning ones. It's rather nightmarish in hindsight; what happens to Zweilous's second head once it evolves into Hydreigon? Hell, what is it like for Deino to gain that head in the first place? I was having a conversation with a few of my friends about Hydreigon's anatomy (specifically how its secondary heads function, and whether or not they're able to breathe ...

  3. Somehow, I Knew Today Was Going to Suck.

I was in a bit of a hurry when I was getting ready for school. I ate a couple of cookies (breakfast of champions, am I right?) and took a sip from a bottle of Lipton citrus green tea. I then shoved the bottle in my bookbag, in case I got thirsty during class. When I stepped outside to catch the bus, it was incredibly windy and I got pummeled by a flurry of wet snow. I sat down in the bus, placing my bookbag on my lap. I noticed that it was unusually damp, but I figured it was just snow and shrugged ...

  4. Alas, Poor Spider

When I was doing my geometry homework at lunch, I spotted a small shape crawling along the edge of the table. I quickly realized that it was a beige spider, a little smaller than a quarter. It was creeping towards Liz, the girl sitting at the other side of the table, so I told her, "There's a spider." I showed it to her, and we watched as it turned around and dangled from the middle of the end of the table. Liz's friend, Jenna, got out of her seat to look at it, and when she went back ...

  5. The Shiny Charm: Worth Every Ounce of Effort

Being an avid shiny enthusiast, I was ecstatic to find that there was an item that increases the odds of encountering shiny Pokémon in Black 2 and White 2. I was also thrilled that there was a worthwhile reward in store for those who complete the National Pokédex instead of a lame diploma. I'm really glad I decided not to transfer all of my Pokémon from SoulSilver to White... it would've been a massive pain to trade everything over to Black 2. I had completed the National Pokédex in SoulSilver, ...
