I am thinking of getting a Gameboy Micro, but there a kinda pricey, so I'm wondering if someone who has one could tell me some pros and cons of one. Thanks!
What why? Are you a collector?
No. I just really like R/S/E and FR/LG, and I don't like carrying my DS with me, and I've always wanted a Gameboy Micro.
i liked the gameboy sp more honestly
I have one, but I have always wanted a micro
I like mine, never play it though since I have my DS. But, the things are real easy to carry around, very portable and all that. The screen is nice and bright, the start/select buttons are lit up as well. The only nag I have is the volume control, and the switchable skin pegs are easy to snap, so I just left the plain one on. I would buy one again.
Thank you for that! I never really use volume, so that wouldnt be a very big issue for me. Thanks for your impute.
Oh, and after looing at mine again, I noticed another nice touch- The chromed out L/R buttons. They look pretty snazzy.
Yeah man. Just outta being nosey, how do you intend to get one? Internet? GameStop?
Idk, I will look at GameStop, but they might not have one. In that case I'd do the internet.
Yeah, they vanished pretty fast after I got mine. (4-5 years ago.)
Ya. I have had a hard time locating one. And the ones i find are $$$
How much are they going for these days? Mine was around 70-80 bucks when they came out...
Official list of Gameboy Micro Pros:
Don't get the Micro. If anything, get an SP. Micro doesn't even have Link Cable capability...
@Raccoon, still about much, but i really wish that the price dropped.
@Ivysaur, I already have one, but I really want a micro kinda
Really? Still around that price? Thats strange. I guess people want it now that they can't buy 'em in stores now. Don't spend above 70 on it though, go for the 40-50 range if you can.
Ya, I know
Micro does work with link cables, but you need special cables. There is also a wireless adapter for it. And there are instructions on how to modify it for the gamecube.
Gamestop does get micros in once in a while, but they are harder to come by then just a normal SP. They are $35 bucks though when they do get them. It does have the bright screen of the DS Lite and the AGS-101 SP. If you want one really bad, go on their site and punch in your zip for the nearest location with a micro.
Amazon also has em for $50-60 used.
