Good excuse to make a blog entry

For the first time for me, the Masuda Method worked. And manifested itself as a shiny Charmander (Charizard, here I come!):
What I really couldn't believe is that I'd only been trying for less than an hour and this hatched on my tenth egg. It even has a Timid nature (but then they all do because of the father's everstone), above average IVs and perfect Defense. Strange that hatching 130 Turtwigs yields no shiny but I get a shiny Charmander on the tenth try. The Masuda Method was less useful in Generation IV, I suppose!
My last two blog posts have been about shinies. The next will probably be about my 4 year anniversary, which I really can't believe. Has it only been 4 years? Feels like I've been a member of bmgf for an eternity.
