Thoughts on Ocarina of Time 3D

So today I received my copy of Ocarina of Time 3D in the mail. I was looking forward to it, mainly because a) it's my third-favorite non-NES console Zelda (after Wind Waker and Majora's Mask, tied with Twilight Princess, and just a hair ahead of Link to the Past), and b) I can now play it wherever the hell I want (a big selling point for me with any game). What do I think so far?
~ The graphics are incredible. It's almost a little scary, actually, especially since the audio is almost exactly the same as before.
~ The controls are terrific. The new camera-tilting thing takes a little getting used to, but given how it fixes the original's biggest flaw (the uneven camera control), it's well worth any learning curve that comes along with it.
~ The 3D is... not great, actually. I dunno, it just didn't seem to work as well as it did when I played Street Fighter. *shrugs*
~ As fun as it is, there's something a little saddening about it (that has nothing to do with the game itself). As cool as it is to play a full-functioning 3D Zelda on a handheld, this is more or less the death toll for the Phantom Hourglass/Spirit Tracks style games. Remember when those were innovative and creative? Now they're completely outmoded, replaced by the preexisting technology they were supposed to bridge. Ah well.
That's all for now!
