This morning, while I was sitting around and halfheartedly pondering the merits of playing Street Fighter in order to stay awake, an idea came to me.
As anyone who has read every Harry Potter book at least five times should know, Professor Trelawney has a tendency to drink cooking sherry when she's severely stressed out; this is referenced in Order of the Phoenix several times and at least once in Half-Blood Prince. This slightly unusual choice of alcohol is amusing, but entirely unimportant. It would have been no different had J.K. Rowling told us she smelled like absinthe.
...Or at least that's what everyone would have thought. For Professor Trelawney's taste in alcohol reveals a deeper truth about her. When describing the music of Rage Against the Machine, Chuck Klosterman argued "You can get loaded and mosh to "Guerrilla Radio", but that's like using cooking sherry to get smashed."

Such brilliant a brilliant connection, discovered through such inspired, flawless logic... I shall truly be revered as a visionary within the Harry Potter fandom for years to come. When I finally search through all her dialogue and reveal that all her dialogue is a prefect anagram of the lyrics to "Testify", the cementation of my legacy shall be complete.
Remember this day, my friends. Today, a fandom legend was born.
