  1. 30 Days of Glee: Today in a Tune

Guess this means you take back
    all you said before.

While this song is only partly actually true for today and my life in general, it somehow captures the spirit of what this day felt like. Why? Simply because nothing matters anymore when I know that my life would suck any other way.

I just need somebody to love.

Justin Bieber undoubtedly gets a lot of love from his numerous fans, but at the same time, criticism finds its way in. Same could be said for Glee. A number of people loves them, but they're still underdogs in some cases. Now, I admit that JB's musical catalogue is not among my preferences, to say the least. But if there's one thing Glee does best, it's, well, putting the Glee in music. And some songs benefit greatly from that.

    Start me up,
    we're halfway there.

I listen to artists that aren't Glee. Really, I do. Whatever you heard are vicious lies.

  4. 30 Days of Glee: Melancholic Melody

    The power lines went out
    and I am all alone.

Some would argue that the best music comes from a place of pain, if not deep emotional suffering. And really, some of the most wonderful songs out there find their inspiration on the melancholic side of life, incorporating sorrow and sadness as prominent themes. Those usually reach out to us the most. Because they come from an honest, deep place: one's soul.

All of the dirt you've been throwing my way,
It ain't so hard to take.

Glee has covered numerous songs that have the power to make you smile even when you're feeling down, and hardly any bad mood can break through the positive energy they bring. If such a song has a catchy tune with an infectious beat, even better.
