Pokemon with Dream World Abilities Categorised

I was thinking about the Dream World abilities and which Pokemon would benefit from it, so I compiled a list with the relevant Pokemon (mostly fully evolved) and which category this Pokemon falls in based on their ability. Now, I am not exactly sure how this would all play out in the end, but this is my opinions, so if you have any objections, please point them out. I did this to see how many Pokemon generally doesn't benefit from their new ability, due to some people complaining about certain Pokemon having the "shaft".

Without further ado, the categories will be in the form of informal quotes for friendlier readability, and would be listed like this:
1) "Just what I needed!" - These Pokemon definitely appreciates their Dream World ability, because that ability would actually help that Pokemon become useful, or their existing ones are not so useful for them that the ability is considered an improvement.
2) "Thanks for the ability!" - These Pokemon already have an ability that they love to use, but the Dream World ability is also a good fit on them. In other words, they win with or without Dream World.
3) "It’s nice to have it." - These Pokemon generally can benefit from the ability, but it wouldn't impact them so much that it would overshadow their current ability(s). Basically the Pokemon CAN take advantage of their new ability, but their current abilities are still useful to them.
4) "I don’t need it, because I am better with the ability I have." - These Pokemon would rather use abilities that they already have rather than the new ones, because their usefulness shines better with their current ability(s).
5) "Not helping much at all..." Although a small list, these Pokemon basically don't benefit from their current abilities and not even their Dream World's abilities are helpful in remedying this problem.

"Just what I needed!"

“Thanks for the ability!” (Great ability(s) in parentheses)

“It’s nice to have it.” (Great ability(s) in parentheses)

“I don’t need it, because I am better with what I have.” (Preferred ability(s) in parentheses)

“Not helping much at all.”

*Whew* That certainly took a lot of time. I hope you enjoyed what I compiled as much as I enjoyed making the list. Once again, suggestions, thoughts, and experiences are welcomed.

Thanks for reading.

    Good job!
This will be helpful when I get the game

I'm not sure I'd put Flareon so high up there. After all, burn works best for guts and Flareon can't even be burned. It has to rely on singular poison to be effective, but it doesn't even have the physical movepool to work with it.

I disagree with a number of your choices, primarily because I think you overestimate and underestimate a lot of things. For example, Sniper Beedrill should not be in the same category as Eccentric Ditto or Speed Boost Blaziken. Yet Shadow Tag Chandelier, whom everyone fears for their lives, isn't among them. At the same time, I liked how you raised awareness for things I might have overlooked. Some more thoughts:
    Jynx - Dry Skin
Didn't notice this, but Dry Skin is always a great ability to have. Might become something nice to add to Rain teams although its ass is owned by Sucker Punch Toxicroak.

    Zapdos - Lightning Rod (Pressure)
Didn't notice this either! Zapdos would really like sporadic +1 SpA. I could see lots of uses for it although Pressure is also a nice ability for something so bulky.

    Qwilfish - Intimidate (Swift Swim)
Qwilfish would be UU at the very least if it got Intimidate in gen IV. It's a shame Explosion halved in power because this would make a sick suicide lead.

    Aianto - Truant (Hustle)
lol how is this not in the garbage category, amazing ability for useless ability much? That being said, Aianto seems to be a cool Pokemon

I guess the worst part is waiting for the actual games and for individual Pokemon to be released in the Dream World. Sticky business indeed!

Thanks for your comments. The first category ("Just what I needed") is actually meant for Pokemon who I think would actually want their Dream World ability since their current ability(s) doesn't really help much. In the case of Beedrill, I don't actually see Swarm helping him/her much that he/she prefers Sniper. Of course, I may not be right. The case of Shanderaa? Remember the second category ("Thanks for the ability!") is for Pokemon who already have a good/great inherent ability, and the Dream World ability is also great for them. In this case, Shanderaa has Flash Fire (with special fire attacks stronger than Heatran!), which I think is great, and he/she has access to Shadow Tag, an awesome ability itself. Blaziken has Blaze, which doesn't help it much, but Speed Boost is an extremely worthy improvement for him.

Perhaps you could tell me your disapprovals and I can re-look at the list based on your selection. For now, I would put Shanderaa in the "Just what I needed" list like you think it should, because it really looks like the popular and dangerous ability.

Qwilfish would be UU at the very least if it got Intimidate in gen IV. It's a shame Explosion halved in power because this would make a sick suicide lead.
That's a good point you made. Qwilfish definitely deserves the "Thanks for the ability!" as I think Swift Swim is a decent option for him/her.

lol how is this (Aianto) not in the garbage category, amazing ability for useless ability much? That being said, Aianto seems to be a cool Pokemon
Well, first of all, Aianto gets Claw Sharpen, which goes hand-in-hand with Hustle, since it will remedy his/her accuracy problem, as well as boosting his/her attack, which basically gives Aianto 2.25x attack from the original with no drawbacks. Not bad. Secondly, Truant does get a very tiny use if you didn't look carefully: he/she learns Befriend, which makes a Pokemon have the same ability. Talk about contagious laziness! That's the reason Aianto is in the category of "No thanks", because Hustle is not a bad ability for him/her.

    (Edited Flareon and Shandera)

    Thanks for reading.
