Awesome Super Mario 64 Japanese Guidebook Artwork

I checked tumblr for a while, because I like what a certain user posted. While there, I came across this post about the interesting artwork for Super Mario 64, which is from a guidebook. Basically, they are pictures of levels, but the twist is that they are real-life models instead of the 3D models like seen in Sonic R for example. They are very interesting, and I thought I should share this with you. Here's one:



It's Bob-omb Battlefield. You know what would be even more awesome (if not too ambitious)? Super Mario Galaxy planet models in the vein of this style! Here are five more:

    Wow, thanks for sharing these, they look amazing. I, for one, would not mind owning that Whomp's Fortress diorama. I love how stuff like this can be dug up years after the games first come out.
