Almost given up hope on Pokemon Journey RP's

Okay I've just about almost given hope that I will ever be able to host or be a part of a successful Journey RP. I've always enjoyed Journey RP's and even though they're overdone, I always manage find enjoyment in them. I've always liked to see how one differs from another and what interesting plots and such others will create. Its almost like a new experience each time. Though sadly, these RP's hardly ever even survive past the first gym, or in most I've joined even leaving for the first town. I've been a part of so many, yet only 1 out of like 10 actually made it to a gym and further(died out after the 2nd gym). I'm really starting to think I'll never actually be able to have a successful and fun journey RP or be a part of one.

Me too, all of my RPs puttered out. :( They're active at first, but sadly die.

Yeah, I've felt that way too, at least until I decided to join some sites dedicated to rps in the pokémon world so I've been able to do a tiny bit more than normal, though they are slow too XD if you're interested in some sites I know about pm me and I'll gladly share the links with you, or anyone for that matter

They're really, really hard to do. There's a certain monotony to them, and it's extremely difficult to handle when there's more than two or three players. Academy RP's are a little better, because they give the same sense of growth and discovery, but they tend to last much longer. Have you tried those?

I've tried them, but I've never really enjoyed them as much as I have enjoyed journey RP's. I can't ever really get into Academy RP's....
