  1. So it just occured to me...

    ... that there's probably going to be a bunch of assholes who will see Iwata's death as a "good thing" for the company. As in, "Nintendo will be better off without him", ect. I've seen the same exact thing happen when comic creator/writer Dwayne McDuffie passed away a few years back. People said that he "ruined" the Ben 10 franchise and that they were actually glad he passed away. Sickening.

    Satoru Iwata was so great even rival companies paid their respects to him. He was one of the many people to make me want to learn game programming. To say farewell, here's a tribute song.

  3. Farewell Mr. Iwata.

    It won't be the same at all without seeing you in those Nintendo Directs or skits with Reggie. I could almost picture the two of you as drinking buddies even with how good you both could put on a show. You won't soon be forgotten. At this point your name is known to almost every Nintendo fan. I hope you can see us wherever you're at now, and see how much you will be missed and how much you are loved.

    Well, where do I even begin. I felt the need to open this blog once more to try and write about what just happened.

    In many respects, Satoru Iwata was a controversial figure in Nintendo. In the last couple of years he made decitions which were seen as a bad move by most of the industry. It was said that Mr. Iwata was holding Nintendo back and that it needed to get risd of him in order to advance to this "New era of gaming".

    You were such a prominent figure in Nintendo. You were behind countless amazing games. And now, you are gone.



    We'll miss you. Everyone at Nintendo, as well as your family, all have our sympathies. Please understand, Iwata.
