Drawings, Dragons, and Daily Gabbing

So.....with this being the weekend I've had a more than wanted break from the work of the real world, naturally I've just been doing nothing. Vigilantly sticking to this "get lean" diet from the sake of fitness and athletic things so I did a lot of crap. Though if I didn't eat vegetables I'd be dead because dieting without eating veggies is like walking around with a black hole in your stomach, I gotta say that recording what I eat on myfitnesspal really shows how much(actually how little) I eat daily. Yeah, to resist eating any food until lunch time I decided to burn a bunch of time drawing and playing video games.
I finally made it to Drayden's Gym in W2, which I'm taking an insanely long amount of time to complete. I still haven't played Platinum or HGSS yet, keeping in typical Gotpika fashion. :P I'm very impressed by the visuals of the Gym and the challenge mechanics. Looks very original and I actually felt challenged, though that might have something to do with my Pokemon being under-leveled. Anyway, my team is Espeon, Krookodile, Emboar, Drifblim, Magnezone, and Braviary.
I originally wanted to use a Druddigon but those can't obtained until Victory Road in BW2 unfortunately and I mainly wanted to use Pokemon I caught. Otherwise I might have just ditched Emboar. Strongest is Krookodile at LV.41 and weakest is Espeon at LV.35. No, I haven't made it to Drayden yet. In particular, I don't care for my team. I thought Espeon would be a very useful Eevee to evolve mine into but his poor movepool and somewhat lurk warm strength are a pain. I only originally used Tepig as a starter to give it a chance since up until this point I've only used Oshawott. The only members I really like are Braviary and Krookodile. Magnezone has a middling movepool and I don't have any useful TMs and Drifblim is rocking pretty poor hitting power, this is a Flare Boost Drifblim so I'm probably impatient since I haven't tried the Flame Orb tactic.
I also visited Drayden's house, nothing changed, meh XP Though I was very somewhat glad to learn Iris apparently had a coach at some point, that will make some nice fic. material since I'm a 100% gotta stick to canon-type freak when it comes to that Expansion fic. I've been writing on Iris. Two chapter since August, yeah I'm winner, I got a few nice compliments and people messaging me about the fic. which is always nice to hear. I finally managed to complete Chapter 3, of course I'm trying to think of a title for said chapter and doing more editing and fine-tuning.
The Axew that lives in Drayden's home apparently utters "Axew! Ax!" saying its name instead of the usually grunt or "aagggghhhu!" type dialogue most Pokemon say in the game which did come off as weird. Other than that when I made it to Opelucid, Iris referred to Drayden as being her grandpa which was adorable. I'm finally gonna start playing B2, going with an Oshawott as the starter and not sure if I'll actually stick with it. Gonna trade a Druddigon from White at some point and catch an Eevee, trade that to White, evolve into a Glaceon and trade back. Probably gonna name the Glaceon, "May"(gee! I wonder where I got that!) and the Druddigon, Shaga of course in allusion to Drayden's epic beard.
I also found some nice fanart of Druddigon. The drawer is right here and source.
Oh, Pixiv artist I'll never understand how your art is so amazing, I imagine whatever tablets they use are very advanced and expensive, if they are doing this with normal bamboo tablets I will go unconscious. Speaking of drawing, I'm still eagerly awaiting the chance to get my drawing tablet so I can switch from the fail that is the pen and paper. Examples of my terribad traditional drawings. Eraser marks, proportion, and tracing are the bane of my sketching, if only because the formers irk me to no end and the latter is never perfect because of my shitty inability to keep my hand still and free flowing while tracing. The eraser and the last problem will hopefully be less of a pain on a tablet. I already have a nice idea of what I want to draw in the future.
Druddigon has so many detailed little things to draw that error with paper and pencil is unavoidable. It's such an underrated Dragon compared to its Unova brethren, Haxorus and Hydreigon. True, it's slow, but it's a very good Pokemon when used correctly. It has a very unique design, what with looking like a young child's toy block creation come to life.
This was done one morning outta boredom.
One of my friends, @Dentogirl; , actually recommended a tablet to me a long time ago. Her art via tablet had a dramatic increase in quality imo and looks very clean and nice.
In anime news, I'm hyped for the debut of N next week as well as the news that Iris's Dragonite and Ash's Charizard apparently become good friends when the latter makes a return to the series. Pokemon interactions tend to really be good for me, Scraggy/Axew|Emolga/Snivy, so that's nice to know. Especially two entertaining Pokemon. I've been watching episodes of Diff'rent Strokes out of boredom since I was infatuated with that show two or three years ago when I was introduced to it by my mom. It's pretty good, despite the show being old as dirt and doesn't sport cookie-cutter plot lines like most TV shows today. *cougheveryDisneyTeencom*
Now that I'm done blabbering I just realized it's nearly 2:00PM thus time to eat lunch and read some PokeSpe or something recreational. Sayounara! :P Oh, yeah, and I guess competitive battling as well.
