Figured that I could use a fresh start on the game, since it was sitting there... Might as well as replay it.

And I also will be logging my playthrough, I think. Since I did it, why not?

So, I decided to take the quiz again, and I got a Turtwig. Now to the partner selection... I chose Mudkip and named it Kip just because.

Anyway, I'm done with Chapter 1, and I think I'm looking forward to the rest of the game. Again.

And I have this conclusion:
It's rigged to make you win whenever possible.

When your Pokémon gets to sufficiently low health, the opponent will spam status-down moves just to make sure that you keep attacking and win.

Of course, a critical hit from the opponent will still make you lose anyway, but if there's none of them, you are practically guranteed to win as long as you keep attacking.
