Time for a Brief Rant

There's a Mafia game simulator, off site. EpicMafia. It's normally a fairly brilliant thing, and tons of fun. Now that we've got that settled, I'm heading into rant mode. So a while back (several months, a really long time), I made my little brother an account. I'd been playing for like two years, so it seemed like a good thing to do. After all, he was interested in playing.

Now it's Christmas. And I got this new laptop. He got one, too. I try to play EpicMafia on it. Out of the blue, it tells me that the computer (brand new) is registered to my little brother's account. I can't even log in, let alone play a round.

As it turns out (explained to me by a tech-savvy relative) the EpicMafia site must be using some sort of IP block to limit spambots, sockpuppets and the like. Normally I'd be all for that; EpicMafia has very few of those, in my experience. But, as all the computers in my house share the WiFi and the IP that goes with it, I'm completely screwed. I can't play at all.

To add insult to injury, the entire EpicMafia site is offline if you aren't logged in. I can't even report that the problem exists in the first place. ****ing brilliant, I must say.

Can you ask your brother to report the issue through his account?

I can try, we'll see how that works out.
