Enzap's LeafGreen Playthrough pt 8 - Liek a Baws

This will be a long one since I haven't posted in a while.
I started this chapter of my adventure entering the Silph Co. building in Saffron City. It was a huge building with warp and move tiles everywhere. I wondered what the company used those for in their daily business. None of the Rockets were particularly troublesome, but my Pokemon were paralyzed and/or poisoned several times, resulting in me having to leave and return several times. For some reason every single time an opponent has used Spark, it has paralyzed me on the first hit. It's just weird.
I reached an important milestone while grinding against grunts. Tsuna evolved into the raging dragon Charizard! With his evolution came the reasonably powerful Wing Attack and a major boost in his stats. My team is really shaping up nicely.
After wandering around and walking in circles, I finally found the grunt with the Card Key. A few doors and grunts later, I happened upon Stupid once again, and his Pokemon had leveled up like crazy since I had last seen him. I'm afraid I don't remember a lot of the details (this battle was a couple of days ago) but I won without too much stress. That Blastoise was a bit of a pain I think, but it didn't hit very hard and Yamamoto's Water Absorb came in handy.
Immediately after that battle, I picked up a Lapras from the nice person in the same room. I named it Bluebell and boxed it. Too bad I already had a good Water type. STAB Ice attacks would have been helpful later.
I finally got to approach Giovanni once again. Much like my rival, he had improved quite a bit in a short period of time. That Nidorino was more troublesome than Onix since I couldn't 1HKO it with Bullet Seed. I instead relied on Bianchi's Body Slam to take it down without risking poison. Rhyhorn was still an easy kill with Hibari. His prized Kangaskhan from earlier was now the lowest-leveled member of his team, but it was still challenging. Then came his Nidoqueen. Normally I would send my own against it, but since it had taken damage from the Nidorino earlier, that would have been a death wish. Instead, I beat it with Yamamoto's Water Pulse.
After defeating Giovanni once again, the president of Silph Co. awarded me with a Master Ball. Don't worry, I know just what I'm going to do with it. ;)
My next goal was to catch another member for my team, and after a quick stop by Mr. Fuji's, I found my target just west of Celadon City. I awoke the sleeping Snorlax and eventually managed to catch it. I named it I-Pin, mostly because of the eyes.
I level grinded my new team mate on Cycling Road before arriving in Fuchsia City. I wasn't here for the gym, but for the Safari Zone. Or rather, a couple of items found in the Safari Zone. It took a couple of tries, but I managed to pick up HM03 Surf and the Gold Teeth, which I traded for HM04 Strength.
And that brings this episode to a close. Thanks for reading! More is on its way!
