In the last episode I had just exited Mt. Moon after collecting a Moon Stone and a Dome Fossil.
The first major event that took place was teaching Tsuna the Charmeleon Mega Punch. I realized too late that I probably should have just gotten rid of Growl for it instead of Scratch.
I entered Cerulean City and quickly found Stupid. He must have been trying to live up to his name since he had a level 18 Squirtle. I thrashed him good and I then made my way up Nugget Bridge. The trainers made for good experience, especially since Bianchi reached level 22 and learned Bite on this bridge.
Before continuing, I want to ask a question. What is the purpose of this bridge? Usually bridges exist so that people can cross bodies of water or other hazards, but this bridge is just sitting on flat ground next to a body of water. Maybe they just built it facing the wrong way and it was supposed to reach Cerulean Cave. *shrug*
Anyway, that Moon Stone I picked up earlier was put to use and my Bianchi evolved into an absolute tank. Nidoqueen has fantastic stats for this early on in the game.
After I rejected an offer to join some gang from the shady man handing out Nuggets, I explored the tall grass to see what I could find. And badda-bing I caught myself a new team member. He was a little flower that I named Hibari.
A fitting name, if I do say so myself.
So after an intense session of running back and forth between route 25 and the Cerulean PC, my Bellsprout was on a decent enough level to go to the gym with. I wiped out the junior trainers, but Hibari was only on level 20 so I went left for a few minutes of level grinding until he evolved.
I was finally ready to challenge Misty. Her Staryu managed to get a crit Water Pulse on Hibari, but I still defeated it with relative ease. Then came Starmie. I Sleep Powdered it first, but it still managed to awake and confuse me with a Water Pulse before I could kill it. Unfortunately that led to Hibari defeating himself in confusion, but he had done his duty well. I then let Bianchi loose and bit that starfish to death.
So now I got 2 badges. Woop. But don't touch that remote! There's more to come soon!
Tsuna- lv 23
