Really late to the party...

So, I'm really late to the party and only just picked up a copy of Soul Silver last week. I was very impressed with it, despite B/W having the edge with all the new pokemon, improved visuals, etc, etc.

Before actually playing the game, I thought the pokemon following you aspect was being overhyped by the fandom, BUT, after playing it, I love it. It adds real character while you're playing through, and when I go back to Black now, it just feels lonely ;_; I want my Girafarig to follow me in Black...

The Pokewalker's a pretty nifty little gadget, too. I'm surprised at the fact that I'm a little addicted to wearing it to increase the watts. Shame there's nothing too interesting to catch on there until I get more Watts. Meh.

One thing I don't understand is, why, stuff like Tangrowth and Yanmega have been added to the 'dex, but others such as Weavile, Magnezone, Electivire haven't. I know they require items/location not accessible pre-National 'dex, but they should still be in there, imo.

And, finally, the only thing I don't like is, that irritating Miltank of Whitney's; it annoyed the hell out of me by spamming its stupid Milk Drink. I mean, what does it do, suck its own udders or something, or does Whitney get down and milk it during the battle? O_o

Anyway, I thought I'd just let everyone know how much I'm loving playing the game (yes, still playing; I'm in Kanto now). :D

Bring on the remakes of the Ruby/Sapphire! Haters' gonna hate.

Here's my team that I traded over as eggs at the beginning (figured I might as well post these, since it's related):

Nox
This thing was the best team member ever. Took down Lance's Dragonites easily; it hit hard and it literally
outsped everything.

Nox is Latin for nocturnal, I think. Also noxious means "to corrupt", so imo, it fits nicely.

Ovoi
This was alright, nothing too special, but it took hits very well and helped with Surf/Waterfall.
Azumarril is very cute, though. I love it.

Ovoi is from Ovoid; I took the "d" off to make it not-so plainly obvious.

Gemini
Now, I have to say, Girafarig is one of my absolute favourites ever (this whole team is, but that's another story).
Sure, its stats are not amazing, nor does it have any other stand out features, but it is amazing (trust).
It, along with Nox, was one of the most consistent members of my team.

Gemini comes from the starsign, as Gemini is two Females (my Girafarig is Female) and Girafarig has
two halves; also the "G" at the beginning is cohesive with its orignial name, which makes it perfect.

Kirby
Yanmega; another favourite. This thing was so-so, it could hit hard, but it seemed to die easily.
Speed Boost was awesome, though; it swept Will's team easily.

No idea how I got the name, at all. But I like it nonetheless.

Omerta
My Fly-pokemon. Very similar to Kirby, could hit hard but died easily.
A mafia crow is too cool to pass up on, though.

I had numerous names in mind for this, first was Mafiocrow (Mafioso + crow) also
Al Cacrow (Al Capone + crow) or alternatively Godfeather (no explanation needed, imo)
but Troggy came up with that, so I didn't want to steal it.
In the end I went with something not so pun-orientated; Omerta is a word used by the Italian Mafia,
and its their name for a code of silence (or something like that). It fits well with the mafia-theme, anyway.

Magic
I love Breloom, and I knowit's awesome competitively, but this thing was useless in-game.
I only kept it because Breloom is pretty darn cool, and it can hit extremely hard at times.

Magic Mushrooms, that is all.

If you took the time to read this, thanks. ;P

I love Soulsilver too~ I think the reason that we couldn't have Pokemon follow us in Black and White was more plot based than anything. If Pokemon were following us that would mean they aren't confined to Pokeballs and N would have even less ground for his motives. Just IMO.

Maybe, it sounds plausible. I just hope it makes a return at some point.

I know, after playing SS, then going to Black it was just empty. I need my Blitzle following me around Unova. :(

They are. It definately was money well spent.

Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention that the updated graphics from Gameboy/Colour are nice, too. Johto looks awesome. And the parts of Kanto I have seen are looking nicely polished. I can't wait to see what Mount Silver is like :3
