Mono-Fire playthrough in X

I wanted to do one of these the moment I saw some of the Fire-types available. And I'm sure some people will probably know that I'm a huge fan of monotype playthroughs for fun (more than Nuzlockes anyway). I started the other week and I'm at the Fairy gym city. My team so far is Delphox, Talonflame, Charizard (X), Pyroar, Houndoom, Flareon, Magcargo and Blaziken. I allowed myself Fletchling early on, even though it's a Normal-type, because it evolves pretty early into a Fire-type and it's not like the beginning of the game would be so hard that Fletchling made it really easy. I plan on picking up Rotom-Heat and Chandelure too (probably not Heatmor or Torkoal though, and I caught a Pansear but it sucked so didn't even use it much). I'll probably have to drop some stuff. Magcargo will probably go - too weak to Water and Ground on a team already weak to those but Magcargo has been alright since it evolved. Slugma died all the time. Poor thing. And Flareon has been surprising the heck out of me! Originally I wasn't planning on using one, but I caught one and it's been doing really damn good for something I expected nothing from.
So far it's been going good. Water types tend to be complete pains to fight and usually something on the team has to die - there's a trainer after Cyllage town with an Azumarill which took out half my team. Until Charizard X all of my team was weak to Water, so it was slightly annoying. Needless to say, I'm not looking forward to facing Siebold later. I might have to do Sunny Day + Solar Beam or something. Rock types can be a bit of a nuisance too, but they generally have low Sp.Def so repeated special moves can take them down and Grant was no trouble with Combusken. Delphox has Grass Knot I think, so that'll probably be able to take non-Sturdy Rock-types down now.
I had to pick up a Water-type for Surf though, because there isn't a single Fire-type that can learn it yet.
I'm looking forward to see how challenging it gets later.
I'll probably update more as I play more, but I can't really do too much until next Tuesday because I need to get Rotom next (which is Tuesday only and I missed it yesterday because I forgot to play).
