I understand the point of community management but some of these smash rules...

seem stupid to me. Say I'm playing an online match and I got shit to do okay I'll just turn it off AND THAT'S AGAINST THE RULES. Okay ragequiters are bad because reasons that are not bullshit or easily avoidable (sarcasm mode). So I'll just kill myself so they get there wins AND THAT'S AGAINST THE RULES! Okay I'll just leave it on and go do the dishes the moms yelling me about, or answer the phone, or help carry up groceries or pay Kara's bail AND THAT'S AGAINST THE RULES! I mean showdown a free fangame has an easy to use forfeit feature and it's more good then harm. So by prioritizing my time over someone's elses victory satisfaction I'm abusing my fellow players. WTF PEOPLE!

I don't know why the term ragequit which is appropriate use of the fuck it adjustment has been turned into a dirty word. What do people want for firemen to have one of those fucking pecking birds to press a periodically.

    Do you? The rules are perfectly fine imo. They are for the best.

    *eyerolls*, Sure Reila, punishing people for having a life so people can have their full sized e-peen is for the best.

    The best of oversized gamer egos, anyway;

    Well what do you do when you're playing an online match no one else is home and the doorbell rings or your mom calls?

    Nah man, these rules are great. It's really fucking annoying to have people constantly ragequit, particularly when you're performing very well. Robs you of the victory. Walking away from a match occasionally to take care of life is obviously okay and wouldn't get you in trouble, but a history of ragequitting makes you a dickbag.

    But doesn't them quitting mean you win via forfeit. If you're not having fun what's the point of playing? I mean yeah if you're doing for rating reasons that's one thing but if you're not having fun that's another. And how does them killing themself get rid of your victory? And what if they have a lot of shit going on remember my firefighter example?

    it is significantly less fun to have someone just quit and walk away when they're losing. That's a childish move, why play the game at all if you can't accept a few knocks?

    So you rather have someone who wants to quit stay in than have more time to fight people your level? Seriously? I don't get mad when people quit on showdown it means I get more rounds in. Also if your opponent already decided they lost what value is the rest of the match?

    I'd rather have good sportsmanship and finish a battle then people quitting the minute they think they're going to lose, yes. It's far less fun to have opponents rage quit halfway through a great battle when they start to lose than to actually complete it. If you're going to play competitively, especially in ranked battles like showdown is, you deserve to be punished for quitting.

    The moment the feel like quitting it's no longer a great battle cause they are not in the same mind set. So I fail to see the reason why they be forced to do something that is no longer fun for them. Quitting at the last minute sure but halfway through that's like another freaking match for two times. People usually only quit when they feel there is NO WAY they can win.
