Help with Heatran?

So, I transferred in a Modest Heatran from Gen 4 into my White game, to train for use in the Battle Subway. Here are my ideas for a moveset:

EV distribution:
Option 1
252 HP/252 SpA/6 Whatever

Option 2
252 HP/200 SpA/28 Def/28 SpD

Moves:
~ Flamethrower
~ Flash Cannon
~ AncientPower
~ ???

Any ideas for that last move? Which EV setup should I run with? Any help would be appreciated. :<

...I really hope I'm allowed to ask this sort of thing in my blog. .__.;

    Don't invest any EVs in its HP, invest 252 in its SpA, 4 in its SpD, and 252 in its Spe. Because it's Modest it should be used as a special sweeper. As far as moves go;

    - Fire Blast
    - Overheat
    - Earth Power
    - Dragon Pulse
    - Flamethrower

    are all good choices considering Heatran's spectacular SpA. They grant awesome coverage, the four former being the most essential. I would also recommend HP Ice for further coverage but I'm going to assume that that's not an option. Stealth Rock also works well, if a possibilty (but considering you're using him soley for the Battle Subway I don't think entry damage is necessary). The role you plan him to play on your team should also determine the moves you use.

    *tilts head* But...doesn't he only have base 77 Speed? I don't see a reason to invest in that... o_o

    I was actually planning on making him more of a tank, to be honest, since I noticed how good his defenses were. ^^;

    If blog comments don't help, we have a whole forum that can.

    @Hypersonic Oh, let's see. Well, it doesn't really have the ability to pull of a tank set. More of an offensive Pokemon given it's nature.

    252 HP / 100 SP.DEF / 158 Spe is what I can think of off the top of my head or 252 HP / 100 DEF / 160 SP.DEF. You would be much better off going with an offensive set though to be honest. Especially if you aren't running an Air Balloon.

    Earth power and flamethrower/fire blast should be there. You can teach it stealth rock to break sturdy(you must lead with heatran in that scenario). The last 2 move slots should be dragon pulse/protect/stealth rock.

    The bulky ev distribution works. Invest in speed only if you make him hold choice scarf. Otherwise make him hold air balloon.

    @CommandurrClowncrete Alright, well that leads me to another question...is it possible for Heatran to learn Stealth Rock in Gen 5? :x
