Somewhat Akward Rules though, here are the rules:
1. Your beginner must stay as the first pokemon in your party.
2. If your beginner faints, it is game over
3. You may not use traded pokemon
4. you may only switch within a battle when the shift option kicks in, or you are swithing in out your beginner.

Besides that, you can add your own rules, and have fun with it.
