Sick of New Leaf already...

As with the other 3 Animal Crossing games I've played, I got bored again. I always go into them excited to do whatever but then lose interest because there's too much repeat. Literally, it's steadily consisted of talk to the villagers, check the shops, make some money, go back to step one :/
I pictured myself playing New Leaf for the longest, given that you're the mayor, there's more to do, more interactive villagers, etc. But it's like the game doesn't want me to play it, lol. It's been raining every day save for maybe 3 since I bought it, there's pretty much no holidays or fun events until August, and I'm damn sick of grinding for bells. Even with the Bell Boom ordinance, I can't make enough to pay off my house and town projects. Well, not by selling normal tins like clothes and furniture at least. Steadily going the island for sharks and beetles is getting boring and tedious -_-
Yes, I know I can just ignore the town project and house upgrades, but then that puts me back at just talking to the villagers every day and checking shops. Playing online with people is doing the the same things, just with more people. Half the time we just talk and not even do anything in game anyways.
...I'm done ranting now. I just had to get my AC frustration off my chest. Maybe I'll just start playing something else daily. Or just something new in general.
