I forgot how much I liked RSE

I decided to start a new game on Emerald the other day since it's the only one out of my other two with a working battery. I don't know why, it was just so...relaxing. I haven't played any other handheld Pokemon game as of late because they just feel too tedious. Probably because I've beaten most of them by now and they're all skimpy on post-game content.
Either way, it just felt good to play it again. I've probably spent the least time with RSE out of all the games. Normally, I buy both versions, beat one, then buy the third version which I always beat. The only exception is BW/BW2, where I beat both Black and White, but didn't buy either sequel (well, I bought White 2, but sold it back). RSE is the only time where I didn't buy both versions together, and didn't get the third version on release date. I beat Ruby a while ago, and never started a game on Sapphire. I started Emerald, but I got frustrated with Watson nearly 7 years ago and quit until D/P/Pt came out.
I guess the best thing about them is that they're fast. Even compared to Gen. 5, everything feels like it's at a definite 60 FPS. OHKO moves happen so instantly, and the running actually feels like running, not a slight jog. I also really enjoy the environment in general, just because it's different. Especially Route 113, I want another ashy area. I like the contests a bit more here than in D/P/Pt too. Oh, I like that you can hear Pokemon cries in the overworld too.
Uh, some stuff here doesn't make a lot of sense or is lazily written, it's cause I'm tired and idek anymore.
