Hm...how can I put this lightly...
Okay, I can't put this lightly, so I'm just going to put this bluntly.
I have taken an interest in the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic television show.

Yes, I like the show. No, this is not a joke. And yes, I understand that this may cause a bit of discord, seeing that a self-proclaimed Ruler of All Things Dark is saying that he likes a show about ponies.
See, to those of you who didn't already know, I took the part of an absolute pony-Nazi, seeming to want to hunt down and murder just about everything related to the show. However, this was, in truth, over-exaggerated for comedic effect. I didn't hate the show as much as I let on, but I still didn't plan on watching the show.
It happened subconsciously, really; during fits of boredom, I sometimes looked up various things about the show. Sooner or later, I ended up becoming quite knowledgeable on the show, even though I had not seen a single episode.
It was then that I realized - I actually liked this show. It isn't the girlishness that it appears to give off (most of the time) and, if you look hard enough into it, you can find some really, really cool things about it. (Internet meme references? Check. Multiple references to Greek mythology? Check. God of chaos that psychologically shatters and brainwashes ponies to become misanthropic and downright nasty, voiced by none other than John de Lancie, as well as bearing heavy similarities to a particular Star Trek character also played by the very same actor? Check, check, and check.)
Just something I wanted to clear up, though. I'm not going to be drowning everything related to this account in content related to the franchise. I'm still going to be the morbid, semi-insane and somewhat philosophical person you guys have come to know and love. (...right?) I've just began to embrace this show. I'm joining the community, sure, but I'm not a rabid fan in any sense.
With that being said...
