...But I visualise music. I discussed it earlier with some friends and none of them could relate, but much like a 3D, naturalised equaliser, my mind creates a sort of moving and continuous picture of an environment impacted by the music I have on and I "see" it even if my eyes are open and being used for other things. Different sounds and their particular volume will make changes to the environment I visualise and move through throughout the song - for example, a twinkling segment on the piano might make snow fall, stars shine or plants flower, while strong beats may impact the terrain and the texture/consistency of it and a swooping change in pitch or tone might just form a mountain or large building.
I'd be interested to see if anybody else gets this. I've just always had it happen, but I thought everybody did.
