Guess who's back (did you even notice I was gone?)!

I finally hatched myself a lovely little Modest Feebas after years searching and breeding through my determination to do it the hard, "legit" way, as 'most anyone who has seen a few of my posts recently will know. I called her Arabella (OH SO POSH) although that may be changed to Fiona or Maxine before I send her over to White (that is, if anyone can even help me get her there anyway. I need her for a playthrough to Poketransfer really isn't an option :/). Now, after all this work and wanting a Milotic so badly for so long, I may as well have a good one, right? So she's become my first EV training effort. I've boosted her up with some items to start with, but wow. I knew this was complex and although I dipped my toe in a while ago I felt it best to embrace my Pokemon as they were before I got sucked into the black hole of breeding and trading and discarding which so seems to devalue the Pokemon for me, never mind that I've generally just been too lazy and easily stressed for it. But my inner perfectionist is excited, if a little daunted. I've got myself a Macho Brace, of course, but if anyone else has any tips they'd be very welcome - I'm following my original idea: the advised and approved spread of 152 HP, 80 Def, 220 SpAtk and 56 Spd. I am training her up in HeartGold while I raise her Beauty but I really don't even want to know how long this may take me and I'm afraid a success may leave me bitten by the bug, forever doomed to settle only for a perfectly trained 'mon wherever possible. I'm slightly worried it will take the fun out of Pokemon for me, really. Still, I'm excited to see the difference and to maybe one day stop being too afraid of getting trampled to give competitive battling a chance.

In other news, I'm back! Well, I have been for a few days now. But still. I'd been inactive due to illness and personal/family problems, but things are (reasonably) back on track and I'm here to stay - Bulbagarden already feels like home again to me, although I'm hardly well-known enough to really be missed. :P I'm also looking at finally getting a new computer for my 17th birthday as my laptop is well overdue for retirement (four years of constant use and a good battering have left her overheating, lagged, full up and lacking a consistent backlight, a working battery and keys that aren't stiff, poor old girl) and our main desktop has been down and out of use for ages as we all have our own laptops/netbooks anyway. For my money's worth I'll be getting a desktop as I too have a netbook, which also means I will have The Sims 3 back. There goes my summer. I'm not sure how I'll transfer everything over after such a buildup, but I'm sure it can be done. This fits well as I'm waiting until Christmas for a 3DS - the effects really didn't live up to my expectations anyway and there aren't too many games I want yet, plus I'm determined to wait for a colour I actually want. In the mean time I've been baking and trying to find more fabric to sew something lovely with - and getting back into Harvest Moon! I've missed that series, too - I've been enjoying the Wii games every so often but I'd really forgotten about the handhelds.

I guess that's about it! I was kind of bummed that I missed the chance to apply to join the staff, but I suppose I wouldn't be too great at it anyway. I'm not a very memorable person, I've only been here just over a year and as much as I do love to get involved in discussions I'm actually rather shy. I don't have much in the way of rapport built up here, either. I'm very happy with the new staff members we got anyway, so it's all cool.

This is Fuuro signing out!~

Oh, wow! Thank you very much ;w; The only problem is that she's unlikely to be ready until next Wednesday since it'd be easier to evolve her in HG than to send her to White and do it there, y'know? But if that's not a problem for you, I'd greatly appreciate the help ^^'

Well nice to see that there are more people putting work into breeding a poké I am now breeding for a Spiritomb although I think I should transfer the good ones to black an proceed there with the breeding.

It is very rewarding, I must say. When all is said and done it's well worth it in the long run. I don't usually transfer Pokemon over but I just couldn't resist finally having a milotic for a playthrough. :P Good luck and happy breeding!
