Definitely feeling the holiday mood around now.

My mother and sister have been progressively getting more and more into Christmassy moods, buying presents and making plans. Not to mention the TV vomming Christmas ads at us every two minutes. As per usual, though, I have no plans whatsoever, and it is getting me down. Just a little.

Sure, college is going okay, I'm looking forward to Christmas itself, but there's definitely something about the holiday spirit that is very much geared towards a sense of togetherness - which, when you have no hint of any kind of relationship, few to no friends you have any chance of meeting in real life except one who won't let their feelings for you drop or stop pinning their otherwise depressed mood/hope on intentions to visit you (even though you just don't reciprocate or have the time and have told them so), a family you don't really have any particular attachment to and no money to make your own plans anyhow, the whole wholesome mood can get a bit suffocating.

I get the feeling I might be just a little bit bitter this holiday season, as much as I don't want to be. :I

I've felt like that before, particularly my first Christmas in high school where my relationship with my family was extremely strained.

Im not really in the holiday mood yet either. Im also upset about not being able to visit certain people Im close to, but it can't really be helped :(

I hope you have a great holiday regardless; I have no plans at all either, so it'll just be me hanging out at my house while everyone except the dog is away at school or work (we have pretty much all of January off this year). I'd hang out with you if I could, but I'm afraid it's not really a viable option ^^' so, I hope your holiday is nice, and if you'd like company, there are many people here more than willing to hang out, although we might not be able to make irl plans to do so.

Perhaps it's not so uncommon to have no plans after all. :I Maybe I will have to Skype call some of you. xP
