The Problem With Eevee ...

OK, so I'm, like, desperately in need of some advice.

You see, I was playing through White 2 earlier (nuzlocking), and I finally got to the park in the middle of Castelia Sewers. I didn't expect much, particularly since the last save file I was there all I could find was Audino, but lo and behold, a freaking Eevee appeared! I was so excited when I caught it, dreaming of training a beautiful Glaceon, but then ...

I looked at his stats:

  • Nature = Brave (+Atk, -Spd)
  • Characteristic = Likes to thrash about (+Atk).

What the Hell am I supposed to do with that??

Obviously, the specially-focused Eeveelutions (Jolteon, Vaporeon, Espeon and, worst of all, Glaceon) are totally off-limits, so that leaves me with Flareon, Umbreon and Leafeon to choose from. Now, it's not that I don't like these eeveelutions, but it's just kind of an awkward position. For example, I'd totally be up for raising a Flareon, but they just have such terrible stats & moves, and I really can't afford to be risking this sort of stuff considering that it's a nuzlocke and all (not to mention the fact that the final gym for this game is Water, and I'll be coming up to a Ground gym soon).

Umbreon would work fine, particularly since it has a type advatage over two of the E4, but I've already raised one for competitive play on HGSS, and I don't like reraising mons. Leafeon would be cool too, and would work very well with my Eevee's focus on attack. Also, Leafeon's Grass-typing would help a lot in the upcoming battles against Elesa & Clay, especially Elesa (since my strongest team mates are Flying, Water and Normal-types) and probably Water-leader Marlon too. The only thing bugging me is the fact that his nature would drag down his species' speed bonus (95 base stat), which seems like an unnecessary waste.

I just can't decide how to handle this. This is exactly why we need new Eeveelutions; if there was a sort of physical alternative to Vaporeon (130 HP, 110 Atk, 95 Def, 65 Spd), that would totally solve all my problems here. Perhaps a Ground or even a Normal type. *Sigh* maybe in Gen VI ...

I'd say go with Leafeon if you'd rather not train Umbreon, since your team needs something to go against Elesa.

Yeah, I think you might be right. The only thing that has a hope in Hell of beating her Zebstrika atm is my Roggenrola, but it's newly caught and would take ages to train up to a decent level for the gym battle.

Flareon has base 130 attack, that's not a bad stat at all. I'm not sure how you would evolve it into Leafeon since you don't get to the Pinwheel Forest until after the E4.

I'd trade it over to my White version, level it up @Moss Rock, and trade back. And yeah, Flareon has awesome attack, but it's a glass cannon; one mildly strong Ground or Rock move and it's down for the count. I'd be willing to work around this normally, but I just can't take the risk on a nuzlocke, especially in BW2 (one of the harder games, IMO).
