Read the 5 Social Geek Fallacies before reading anything below this. It basically sums up my viewpoints I have here.

So I basically read every single single posted on this site because I have nothing else to do on here. And I do mean everything, even if I don't comment or post. One thing I've noticed is that a lot people on this forum don't exactly know how friendship really works.

First of all, a lot of people seem to think that any form of criticism is bad. That is completely and utterly terrible viewpoint. I'm sure that most of you have probably been bullied in that past. However, that is absolutely no excuse to dismiss any criticism given to you. There is an obvious difference between harassment and legitimate criticism. Just because it's coming from someone who isn't higher ranking than you doesn't mean that you shouldn't consider it valid.

For whatever reason, people seem to cling on to the "don't like, don't look" viewpoint for everything. I greatly dislike that idea. If your friend is doing something that you know is wrong, why don't you explain to them why you think it's wrong? You don't just ignore their faults in hopes that you don't see it. You're going to see it eventually and you're just forcing yourself to accept something that you shouldn't.

People act like you should put everything aside for friendship. You really shouldn't. Making more friends is pointless if you have nothing in particular to show for yourself. Especially for internet friendships. There's a clear difference between real life and the internet. Internet friends are there to chat with about nonsense like anime and video games. You don't throw away every second of your life just because you met some people who happen like Pokémon. Half of you probably don't even know the real names of the people you talk to.

I'm gonna get personal for a bit here. I remember that 2-3 years ago, I acted like the exact person I'm criticizing now. I remember standing up for some of the people I became friends with here for no reason except that they were my friends. Then one day, it turned out that one of them was dating an 11 year old. No one else condemned him for this, so like an idiot, I didn't either. Eventually, I had enough and said to myself that this piece of trash does not deserve any of the friends he made on here. Even if everyone accepts something blatantly wrong for the sake of avoiding "drama", I will condemn it because that is the right thing to do and I don't care if I'm the only one who sees it.

That's all. Enjoy your day.

I agree. All "friendships" within this place is aresult of mutual anime/game interests. It's nice to talk about them once in a while, as well as having some world-wide-web fun, but everything else may be biased/incorrect. That is, I tend to not discuss more important issues within BMGf. I just avoid such conversations, and everything's okay

16 years old. Which makes the cut off for it to be considered pedophillia.
